The word Shikhar is used to denote the whole super structure including the crown and the Kalash, is the top most part of the Mandir and is located just above the Garbhagruha where deities reside. Shikhars are always under the influence of cosmic energy and they provide the spiritual energy to the place where it is located. Elaborate Shikhar puja will be performed when consecrated Loti Puja (small Kalash) water will be poured.
