November 21, 2020 - In-person Karmakand Services Canceled

Shri Mangal Mandir is canceling all in-person karmakand activities until further notice.  Only virtual karmakand activities may be requested.

September 21, 2020 - Karmakand Service Requests

Shri Mangal Mandir will be resuming Karmakand activities with our mandir priests in person at Mandir as well as remote at requesting host. 

Covid -19 guidelines as per CDC, State, Local and County governments will be strictly followed as per our mandir recommendations. Please contact our priests (301-421-0985) for the request in advance.

 

June 29, 2020 - Safety Guidelines As You Visit Mandir

Mandir is open as of Monday, June 29th with Montgomery County entering Phase 2 of reopening.  In order to comply with the county, state and CDC guidelines and keep all our devotees safe, please obey the rules below:

  • Please do not enter the Mandir if you experience symptoms of COVID-19 or came into contact with someone who tested positive in the past 14 days.

  • Face mask is a must, no entry in the mandir (temple) without face mask.  Face mask must cover nose and mouth at all times while on the mandir premises.

  • We will limit the number of people in order to follow social distancing guidelines.

  • Please enter and exit the Mandir through the downstairs entrance.

  • Please remove shoes downstairs and place them in the shoe racks.

  • Please wash your hands or use sanitizer.

  • Please do not bring any offerings for deities nor take any Prasad in the mandir.  This includes flowers, fruits or any abhishek samagri.

  • Six feet distancing in mandir premises. Please follow the signs and directions given by panditji.

  • Please remain in one spot during Aarti and do not follow the panditji to every deity.  This is for your safety as well as everyone around you.

Virtual darshan of Aarti will continue.  Please use this method to take darshan as much as possible in order to limit your time at the mandir.  We thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping everyone safe.

Request from Governor Hogan - The Governor is calling for a moment of prayer/reflection this Sunday, April 5th at noon.  It will be a moment where Marylanders (of all faith) join together in prayer or reflection on the victims of the Pandemic COVID-19, for first line workers such as doctors, nurses, clinicians and first responders, for our federal, state and local leaders and those who are suffering or lost loved ones during this pandemic.

We (Mangal Mandir Community) will observe silence after Aarti and will recite Yamunastak Paath.  Please join us via Facebook Live.

In accordance with the Maryland State Governor Hogan's Executive Order of closure of non-essential businesses, Shri Mangal Mandir is CLOSED for public until further notice.

While we are closed we will provide, when possible, Virtual Darshan of Mandir aarti on Facebook live. Please “friend” Mandir on Facebook and see the aarti live everyday at 11:45 am and 7 pm.

The safety and well-being of our devotees is our top priority.

Coronavirus (Covid-19) seems to be still spreading and some new cases have been reported in the DMV area.  Aligning with the recommendations by the Governor of Maryland and CDC regarding COVID-19, we have decided to CANCEL all the events, including Sunday Bhajans, Senior club and Balgokul activities, until further notice. All hall rental activities are cancelled as well, and we will return deposit.

The temple remains open for DARSHAN only.

We recommend caution and following guidelines:

  • Please do not enter the mandir premise if you or your family are experiencing any symptoms  such as fever, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, shortness of breath, muscle aches) or if you/your family recently traveled to any high risk countries (such as China, Italy, Iran, South Korea or other countries.)
     

  • Please do not enter the temple if you/your family has been in contact with a confirmed or presumptive case of Covid-19 patient.
     

  • Please do not bring any prasad including fruits.

We will keep you updated of future events.
